Lordstown Country Kennel offers 20 indoor/outdoor
runs for your dog’s comfort and protection. Each run is self-contained
with a 4’ by 4’ inside kennel attached to a 4’ by 12’ outside exercise
run. All runs feature block construction on the lower part of the run to
provide privacy for all visitors. The outside runs have a concrete pad
to allow for cleaning and sanitizing.
Our outside runs are secured with chain link
fencing which ensures your pet’s protection. For those sunny days, a
shade screen has been added to the top of the runs. The outside runs are
surrounded by a 6’ privacy fence as well.
Let’s not forget our feline guests! Lordstown
Country Kennel provides a separate facility for our feline guests where
they cannot hear or smell the dogs. For your cat’s enjoyment, our cat
room has a window providing bright, natural light during the day and a
starry sky at night.
Our entire kennel is equipped with central heating,
ventilating, air-conditioning and an electronic air filter system
providing a clean, healthy atmosphere. Soothing stereo music is played
throughout the facility providing a calming atmosphere for all of our
guests.
We reside on the premises so your pet is monitored
at all times. We love to interact, comfort and play with your dog or cat
to make their stay as much like home as possible. As kennel owners, we
know what it is to have pets – our family pets are Sadie and Oliver. We
have also owned, raised, trained and field-trialed English Pointers and
Collies.
You will find that at Lordstown Country Kennel we
keep our facility impeccably clean and comfortable. We disinfect each
run daily with the outside run cleaned three times daily. Of course, we
thoroughly clean and disinfect each run between guests. We pride
ourselves on the cleanliness and lack of odor in our kennel.

Food
We provide our canine guests with either Iam’s
Bite-Size or BilJac feed. Our feline visitors love our dry Purina Cat
Chow. However, if you would like to bring your pet’s own food, you may
do so. Please label the food container with your pet’s name and any
special feeding instructions. There is no need to bring your pet’s bowls
as we provide them. Don’t forget the treats! We like to tuck our
visitors in at night with a special treat on their pillow or bed.

Kennel Policies
For dogs, we require proof of current vaccinations
administered by a veterinarian for rabies, DHLPP, and Bordatella (kennel
cough). Cats must have a feline distemper and rabies vaccination. You
must present proof of vaccination from your veterinarian upon arrival.
All vaccinations need to be given at least three days before arrival at
our kennel. We make no exceptions to our vaccination policies.
All pets must arrive on-leash with a well-fitting
collar or in a pet carrier. Upon check-out your charges must be
satisfied in full by cash or personal check regardless of who picks up
you pet. If someone other than you will be picking up your pet,
arrangements must be made in advance.
